A photograph album titled 'Glimpses of Nauru and Ocean Islands' and containing more than 350 small-format photographs (some assembled into panoramas). Extensively annotated with dates ranging from 1930 to 1935 the album records the activities of staff working for the British Phosphate Company, their families, the natives - both at work and in traditional settings - the constructions, mining, social and leisure activities. All personnel are named, many images are dated. Beginning with the arrival in September 1930 aboard M.V.
