Norman Alfred William Lindsay (1879-1969), bust of rose Soady wood carving signed to base 'To rose Soady, from Your Kiddy Norman Lindsay' height 35 cm x width 26 cm with later stand, height 14.5 cm x width 36 cm Provenance: Purchased from rose Soady by the collector Mr Eric Hinton; a keen collector of and model in Norman Lindsay's pirate themed works, sold 1958 to a Sydney private collector and fellow student with Mr.Hinton at hunter Street West Technical College. In said private collection until present, note: Mr Eric Hinton passed away in May of 1991 and the estate was auctioned as 'The Eric Hinton Estate, Newcastle' by Alison McSweeney Auctions on February 22nd/23rd. The estate contained a number of Norman Lindsay watercolour works and rare books.
