Rene Lalique vase 'Domremy' frosted and lightly opalescent glass, having a thistle motif. Domremy is in the name of a few places in France. The most historically interesting is the tiny village of Domremy-la-Pucelle 200 miles East of Paris. It started out life as just Domremy, but around the year 1580 its name was changed to Domremy-la-Pucelle in honor of the nickname 'La Pucelle d'Orleans' that belonged to its most famous native citizen: Joan of Arc.
