A Vincennes cup and saucer (Gobelet a La Reine Et Soucoupe), foliate blue interlaced L mark, circa 1752, the cup with a gilt bordered, shaped reserve painted with a pair of water fowl and a shrub, the saucer with a circular reserve and a similar motif, on a mottled 'Bleu nouveau' ground with gilt marbre, gilt borders, height of cup 6.2 cm, diameter of saucer 14 cm. Other Notes: an identical cup and saucer is in the collection of the metropolitan Museum of Art New York, and was exhibited: New York, the metropolitan Museum of Art. 'Masterpieces of European Porcelain,' March 18-May 15, 1949, New York, the metropolitan Museum of Art. 'A taste for Opulence: Sevres porcelain from the Collection,' February 21, 2006-February 25, 2007, another cup is in the collection of the British Museum, London, acquired in 1989.
