A Continental faience tureen and cover in the form of a pheasant, late 18th century, naturalistically modelled with its head turned to the side, with brown and tawny plumage, a blue neck and head with red ringed eye, the mound base moulded with a tree-stump and leaves, fleur de lys mark to base, height 30 cm, length 47 cm.
