An Italian polychrome serpentine commode, Sicily, mid 18th century, the jasper top above two drawers decorated sans traverse with a bucolic landscape scene of peasants merrymaking, within scrolls and swags, the sides with similar scenes on a dark green ground with gold painted swags, spandrels and shaped apron, standing on cabriole legs, height 100 cm, width 125 cm, depth 59 cm.
