A late 18th century bracket clock by Jaquet-Droz, movement signed Pierre Jaquet-Droz, circa 1780, the large Louis XVI-style cartel clock and conforming wall bracket, in a green lacquered shaped case with glazed side panels, gilt mounted with masks, C-scrolls and acanthus leaves motifs and a vase finial, the circular silvered dial with Roman numerals, the bell striking brass movement engraved 'Jaquet-Droz a La Chaux de Fonds', with pendulum. Height 109 cm, width 51 cm, depth 25 cm
