A Chinese 19th century Canton porcelain famille rose jug, profusely decorated, the front hand painted in overglaze enamels with a court scene, the sides with four vignettes depicting figures in various pursuits. The jug further embellished with floral and butterfly painted decoration. The interlaced strap handle with old staple repairs. Various other faults also evident including a crack to the interior, 22 cm height
