Rare day/night wandering-hour dial pocket watch in silver pair case, by Thomas Gibson, Berwick-on-Tweed, number 895. Matched cases hallmarked Birmingham 1897 by Joseph Harris, case maker, The Butts, Coventry Verge fusee/chain movement engraved and pierced cock. Signed Thos Gibson, Berwick and numbered 895. Champleve dial with arched aperture to show an hours disc with images of the sun and moon. The sun and moon both have an arrow with which they indicate the time on the basis of a semicircle arcade of Roman hours above.
