A Sevres style porcelain jewel casket, late 19th/early 20th century, of bombe form, the body with alternating reserves of painted landscape scenes on blue ground, with gilt trimmings, the lid painted with a central reserve depicting courting figures with musical instruments in a landscape setting, signed M. Marchese, surrounded by a rocaille gilded edge, opening to reveal an upholstered interior, blue B within interlaced double L to underside of base, 10 cm high, 30 cm wide, 17.5 cm deep
