A large Japanese black lacquer and gilded Butsudan shrine cabinet on stand, Taisho period (1912-1926) of rectangular form, the double doors opening to an interior mounted with a pierced archway of birds on branches supported by two gilded columns, fronting a triptych form altar surmounted by a profuse architectural carving, over cascading shelves with figural narrative scenes over an arrangement of three drawers, two sliding cupboard doors and a drawer with shell inlay, all raised on a stand base.
