Chantilly porcelain octagonal dish, c. 1735-1745, painted with panels of sunflowers and trophies flanked by panels of red foliage in the Japanese taste, iron-red hunting horn mark to underside, width 14 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Qld, reference: this pattern is rare and while it has adopted the Japanese design, the flowers are Sunflowers, the symbol of France.
