A rare set of fourteen Regency period mahogany dining chairs, English, circa 1810 comprising twelve side chairs and two carvers, of out-swept back and rope twist top rail design height: 84 cm (14). Provenance: By repute from the collection Lord De L'Isle (William Philip Sidney, 1st Viscount De L'Isle, VC, KG, GCMG, GCVO, KStJ, PC, 1909-1991) who was the last British Governor-General of Australia 1961-1965. Acquired through Martyn Cook Antiques, Sydney, in 1996
