A fine Georgian terrestrial globe and stand with brass meridian and engraved paper horizon band and paper horizon, the cartouche reading 'Cary's new terrestrial globe, drawn from the most recent Geographical works. Shewing the whole of the new Discoveries with the tracks of the Principal Navigators and every improvement in Geography to the present Time.' London. The whole raised on a stand with reeded mahogany legs joined by a compass stretcher and ending in casters. Australia is shown in two areas only, the eastern half 'New south Wales' and the western part 'New Holland'. Published by J&W Cary April 2nd 1819.
