Postcards - Great Britain - Sussex: 1900s-1980s collection in three volumes with an approximate 70/30 split between earlier and later (post 1960) cards, this being the vendor's home county and so contains a lot of better earlier cards including Dormans park post office, real-photo images of cricket match at Brighton cricket ground, Fairlight cove (3) and Hurstpierpoint (9), also lot of village/small town views including Lindfield, Midhurst, Pevensey, Rottingdean & Stopham, with a particular focus on village churches, plus extensive array from large towns including Brighton, Eastbourme, Hastings & Worthing; plus topographical views from Devil's Dyke, south Downs; also supporting material including church brochures, and a single volume annotated collection of photographs of Sussex churches assembled by Norah Titley of the British Museum. A very good lot. (approx 500 postcards plus 100+ photographs)
