Queen Victoria (1819 - 1901), 'Victoria Reg' full ink signature in upper left corner of a partly printed military appointment; counter-signed by the Earl of Cranbrook (L. Gathorne Hardy) and with two embossed seals. The impressive document records the appointment of Charles Cecil Oates to a Lieutenant's Commission in the land Forces, dated December 1874, Attractively mounted, framed and glazed together with a portrait of Queen Victoria and a plaque describing Victoria and her reign, overall 64 x 86 cm.
