A Russian icon of the old Testament trinity, 19th century, hand-painted on wooden panel, 27 x 22 cm, the panel depicts the three holy Messengers being entertained by Abraham and Sara at the Oaks of Mamre. They have come to tell the elderly couple that they would be having a Son. Unusually, painted in an Italian Quattrocentro style.
