Unusual sterling silver and emerald sundial, hallmarked London, 1975, by the Ransome gallery of London, of heavy rectangular form, each facet engraved with the Latin months of the year and Latin script, set with a total of sixteen round cut emeralds, the sundial is a replica of an original dating back to 980AD, with gilt silver finial decorated with rope twist and serpent themed rod attachment (a/f), total weight 74.62gm, length 7.5 cm
