An early Victorian mahogany gentlemans linen press on chest, c1840, the elegant linen press in Sheraton Revival style with plain stepped cornice above double doors with recessed panels painted with classical medallions surrounded by swags and tied ribbons, opening to four shelving trays on rails, above two short and two long cockbeaded drawers with round backplates and swing handles, raised on mushroom cap feet fitted with later castors.
