An antique Chinese elm ancestral shrine cabinet, probably Shanxi province, late 19th century, of temple form, the lacquered elm ancestral shrine with a patinated rectangular top over a recessed eave panel pierced with quatrefoil design medallions, the portico supported by vertical side posts, the four hinged doors with pierced key fret and carved symbols, raised on scrolled feet.
