A Temuka Potteries tobacco humidor or biscuit barrel, the lid surmounted by a bust of Hori Ngakapa Te Whanaunga, chief of ngati Whanaunga, designed by factory manager Arthur Rowden Toplis, c.1935, relief decorated with Maori designs, caramel glazed, height 27 cm.
