A Louis XV ormolu mounted black lacquered bracket clock by Josue Robert, Chaux de Fonds, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minutes, the waisted case with concave sided cresting and glazed side panels, surmounted by an urn, painted black and mounted with ormolu ribbons, swags and foliate motifs, on a conforming bracket, the movement signed, height 106 cm. Other Notes: Josue Robert (1691-1771) was made clockmaker to the King of Prussia in 1725, he founded the firm of J. Robert et Fils which continued into the 19th century.
