An Art Deco spelter and ivorine figural group signed Menneville, Ugo Cipriani (1887-1960) pseud. 'Menneville', circa 1930s modelled as a seated young woman smelling a rose, in a long gown and a textured cloche, her hands and face of moulded ivorine, flanked by three doves and a hound', upon a contrasting tiled black marble and onyx plinth base, incised 'Menneville' to right hand side corner, a pseudonym used by Cipriani after migrating from Italy to Paris.
