World War I trench art trophy. Ivo W. Kerr golf trophy, made from a German 210 mm mortar shell. Engraved inscription ''Ivo W. Kerr golf trophy, Commonwealth Institute of Accountants. This German Howitzer shell case was gathered by the donor on Mont St. Quentin (France) on the 1st September 1918 the day this well-nigh impregnable site was captured by the A.I.F. And is given a perpetual trophy in memory of fellow members of the institution who made the supreme sacrifice in the great war of 1914-1918.' Ivo Whiston Kerr was appointed as assistant commissioner to the Australian Comforts Fund. Height 23 cm
