An uncommon Australian themed 19th century colonial 15ct gold fancy pendant locket, the hinged cover with a sculpted kangaroo on leafy ground revealing a locket panel. The glazed back enclosing a photo, with photographer's details verso for Joseph Weaver Allen Dunedin 1822-1886. Some repair, height 5.6 cm.
