Description:
Two Vietnamese bronze axe heads together with other Bronzes; Dong Son culture (1000BC-100AD); one of 'Shoe' shape, the other of crescent shape, both with designs including human and animal figures cast in intaglio into the bronze surface. Together with a Dong Son dagger, ladle and a later foliate rim small mirror. The crescent shaped axe head 14 cm long, 14.5 cm wide; Provenance: collected in Vietnam, 1990s.
