A Chinese carved Qingbai brush washer; Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279); with unglazed rim and carved decoration to the interior centre of abstracted scrolling foliage, covered in a fine pale blue glaze. Bluett London circular label to base. 2.75 cm high, 13.5 cm diameter; Provenance: Purchased from Bluett, London, 1970s. The Diana stock collection, Melbourne.
