A Chinese white jade 'Zhinu and Niulang' plaque; Ming (1368-1644) or Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), circa 17th century; the circular plaque finely carved and reticularted, depicting the celestial lovers Zhinu and Niulang with a Sheng instrument and pair of scrolls between them, all surrounded by scrolling foliage and flowers and clouds.
