A Chinese painting of Gibbons by Chen Wen Hsi (1906-1991); circa 1970s; painted in ink and gouache on paper with two gibbons on rocks beneath a tree, with Chen's signature to the lower right corner with red seal. Framed and glazed. The painting 33 cm high, 42 cm wide. With frame 46 cm high, 55 cm wide; Provenance: Old and New gallery (Chen Wen Hsi gallery), Tanglin shopping centre, Singapore, late 1970s. The Diana stock collection, Melbourne.
