South Sea pearl and gem-set necklace, property of a private Sydney collector, composed of three strands of cultured pearls measuring approximately 9.25 mm to 11.65 mm, completed by a detachable enhancer modelled as a flowerhead centring a 11.50 mm cultured pearl framed by oval cabochon angel skin coral and circular checkerboard-cut amethyst between pave-set brilliant-cut diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 0.40 carats, mounted in 18ct gold, inner circumference 600 mm. Provenance: jewels & jadeite, Phillips Hong Kong, 27 May 2019, lot 508, illustrated. Private collection, Sydney, acquired from the above.
