A Chinese Gongxian white glazed jar and cover Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) of ovoid form, the jar covered inside and out with an ivory-toned clear glaze which stops at the foot. The domed cover is surmounted by a plain knob and similarly glazed. Japanese wood box., 20 cm. High. Provenance: Fujiawara Shukodo, Osaka, Japan. Acquired in Japan prior to 1997.
