William Hawkins (Royal Worcester) an exceptional & rare finely painted plaque portrait of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson after a painting by Lemuel Abbott 1797 (on display at the Palace of Westminster, London). Lord Nelson is depicted in his rear-admiral's uniform wearing the star and ribbon of the bath and the naval gold medal awarded for his victory at the Battle of St. Vincent (1797) in original frame inscribed on reverse. Date mark 1928 signed Wm Hawkins 25 cm x 20 cm, frame 50 cm x 43.5 cm
