A German Hanau silver finely embossed box, late 19th century, the lidded rectangular box, probably .800 silver, with a tavern scene to the lid enclosed by foliate borders, the sides with highly embossed cherubs playing music amongst birds and foliage between a repeat border of acanthus and roses, gilt washed to the interior, bearing early 18th century Augsburg and Nurnberg marks to the underside.
