Pair of good mid 19th century bronze busts on pedestals, depicting three quarter busts of a classical man and women with heads slightly bowed, raised on cylindrical pedestals adorned with a frieze of classical figures on horse back, with panels for sporting awards won by John Beveridge. In 1891 Beveridge was elected to be mayor of the council and was instrumental in making Redfern the first suburb in Sydney to have electricity and electric street lighting, height 38 cm (pair)
