Native American three colour pot, Acoma Pueblo, new Mexico, USA, c. 1930, hand coiled earthenware, ovoid vessel with thin walls, tapered neck, divided in three main sections and adorned with stylised designs of wings, lighting, rain and birds, carriers of messages to the Gods, height 20.5 cm. Design applied with traditional Acoma vegetal pigment constructing yucca brushes fired in outside.
