A walking stick, Solomon Islands, early 20th century. A superbly crafted walking stick. A long cylindrical shaft with a faint flaire leafing up to the rounded pommel handle. At the handle are three sections are intricate inlaid mother of pearl (pinctada margaritifera) serated hourglass forms that are seccured with nut putty (parinarium nut). With a smooth black finish.
