A stone adze head, Western Provence, Solomon Islands, Laboriously carved from stone and highly polished. The adze head would originally been lashed to a wood handle. The circular blade features a large hole at the centre. Length 20 cm, width 13 cm, depth 2.6 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Aotearoa. Previously of a private collection Honiara, Solomon Islands
