A waka huia lid, Aotearoa, used as a lid on waka huia, treasure boxes. This lid is carved from a single piece of hardwood in an oval form. Intricately carved to the top of the lid are asymetrical spiral motifs. Length 40.4 cm, width 9.4 cm, depth 2.4 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Aotearoa.
