A kaheru handle, Aotearoa. The handle for a spade. Carved from light-weight wood. A long shaft with a circular cross-section. At the distal end has a flate beal. The top end terminates with a knob. Coloured with a darkbrown patina. This kaheru handle has recently been repaired as was it was broken into three pieces. Length 121.5 cm, width 5 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Aotearoa
