A good early 19th century taiaha (fighting staff), Arero (tongue) finely carved with rauponga spirals and pataki. Uopko (head) with circular paua eyes, one absent. Muka binding to the collar. Traces of red ochre to the arero and rich patina evident to the shaft. 176 cm height. Y number pending.
