A 19th century carved wood wahaika (short bladed weapon), the base of the blade with a well carved figure with wheku head with scrolling arms and lightly delineated hands placed to abdomen, the reducing handle pierced for suspension, the butt terminating in a wheku head. The blade chipped extensively to the edges and restored. 41 cm length. Y number pending
