A Pre-European patu onewa (stone hand club), well proportioned of traditional form with spatulate tapered blade reducing to the grip section. With an hour-glass shaped suspension hole, the butt end with four concave curved bands. Chip to top of the blade. Provenance: collection of Dame Jenny Gibbs, 31 cm length.
