A carved soapstone vase turned into a Lampbase & another vase, 20th century, the finely carved brownish red to amber mottled soapstone, the natural colours of the stone highlighting carved peony branches in full bloom adorning the shoulder of the baluster vase, resting on a pierced base with four feet resembling root wood, later turned into a lamp base, electrified and with shade, together with a smaller soapstone vase with a frilled rim. Heights: 72 cm and 20 cm
