A fine bronze bust of Diana after Jean-Antoine Houdon C1900, modelled after the late 18th century model by Jean-Antoine Houdon, and depicting the contemplative huntress with eyes averted, a crescent moon sickle in her hair and classical drapery to her upper body held fast by a gilded belt across her shoulder, in rich brown patina, raised upon a waisted parcel gilt socle with a circular laurel leaf border; incised 'Houdon' to the lower back to the bust and 'Soci t des bronzes' with foundry stamp to the socle, height 24.5 cm
