A George II antique English silver sauce boat, London 1753/54, oval boat shape with serpentine rim and acanthus capped scroll handle joined by a shell union, raised on three leaf scroll feet. Maker's mark indistinct, possibly that of Thos. Beere (Jackson's 3rd edt, page 202, line 6). Engraved with script monogram: WBMBW to the side, and engraved initials under: B over W*M. 369gm (13oz), length 21.5 cm (8½')
