Early incised ceremonial boomerang, Central Australia. Carved and engraved hardwood and natural pigment. Approx length 56.5 x 8 cm. Provenance: Collected by Mr. Fred Cavenagh who was granted a pastoral lease to an area 100km Ne of Alice Springs in 1906, the property became known as Ambalindum station. Thence by descent.
