Early fine ceremonial boomerang, Broome Rrgion, north Western Australia. Carved and engraved hardwood and natural pigments. Of plano-convex section, the entire surface repleat with fine stone cut adzed markings and decorated with broad bands of black and white natural earth pigments. Approx length 57.5 x 6 cm.
