Early incised parrying shield, Murrumbidgee / Lachlan River Region, New South Wales. Carved and engraved hardwood. Of slender elongated form, tapering at either end, a pierced lug handle at the back, with deeply incised geometric designs on the front. Approx length 73 x 9 cm.
