A Chinese cloisonne dish, Wanli mark (1572-1620), and of the period, of shallow form with raised cavetto and an everted horizontal rim with foliate edge, decorated to the interior with scrolling peonies in red, yellow, green and blue enamels against a turquoise ground, the rim with scrolling flowers against a red and white speckled ground, with a chased mallow flower to the interior centre in unenammeled bronze. The reverse with a six character mark for Wanli within a rectangular in red enamel against a dark green ground, surrounded by scrolling clouds. 3 cm high, 20 cm diameter
