A pair of Chinese hardwood spindle back chairs, Meigui-Yi, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), each with a square back with humped top-rail above plain spindles, the arms conforming, the dished square seat raised on aquare section supports with aprons and low peripheral stretchers. 90.5 cm high, 54 cm wide, 45 cm deep. Provenance: Purchased by the vendor in Hong Kong in the 1990s.
